Michael Toleno (michael_toleno) | 102 comments This search (URL https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=fa...) gives 6 different results which should all be combined as editions of the same book.

The "first published" date should be 1954. According to the book itself on Internet Archive (https://archive.org/details/fastingne...), the original publication date (in England) is 1954 (see electronic page 6). The first American edition was published in 1969. The standard on Goodreads seems to be to use a book's original publication date (1954) as the "first published" date, NOT the first-run date of a particular edition, of which there may be many.

What other information do you need?

The first search listing has a "First published" date of 1992 (with the top edition result having a "published" date of 1998). The other five listings simply have "Published" dates repeated twice for each listing: 1988, 1973, 2025, 1972, 1969.

The results have 3, 5, 1, 2, 1, and 1 editions. Some of the editions beyond the top listed edition match other listings.

The results have varying punctuation for the title both title case and sentence case and using a colon, hyphen, semicolon, or comma to separate the word "Fasting" from "A Neglected Discipline." Three different forms of the author's name are used.

Let me know what you need and I'll reply immediately. Thank you!

Thanks for the quick action! It looks great! I've changed the post title to "[DONE]."

I don't see any such subgroup. I see many "combine" requests in the "General" subgroup and this "Book & Author Page Issues" subgroup. Can you please specify further where I can find the subgroup that you are referring to?
