I am absolutely confused by posters requesting reads but then only listing a bunch of tropes. Those are meta tags.
If you want readers, write a blurb.
Your job is to demonstrate your writing skill, your grasp of genre expectations, and your ability to establish character and stakes,
If you can't do it in a paragraph.... why would readers expect it in a whole book?
I get the feeling that a lot of writers lack confidence and want some validation before they do the hard work of writing blurbs... or even reading and revising their work... or even of finishing it. The problem is this sets you up to be preyed on by people wanting cash.
People have unlimited choices these days. You need to show them what you can do.
