I liked this one. It's super weird and honestly, I didn't really know what was going on most of the time (theme of the month) but I enjoyed it a lot.

This is such a weird personal thing but for me I feel like the gothy "bad" kid should've been named Jack and the football player rich boy August because that just feels more right to me so I kept getting them mixed up

I started this morning, and K. Ancrum remains nearly perfect in my book (though I'd like more romance between August and Jack--who needs Rina? or Gordie?).

I am just to the part where Peter and Roger give August the DSM-IV (view spoiler)[ and I'm surprised that they knew someone else who had the disorder (hide spoiler)]. I am liking the two of them a bunch.

This is my least favorite of her books, tbh.

It reminded me tons of Don't Let the Forest In, but wasn’t as horror-y.

Don't let the Forest In is a different author C. Drews, but similar like dreamy what's going on quality? Although this one has more concrete answers than Forest did.

definitely a different story--Amanda and I read the Drews (and maybe Jackie, too?) a few months ago. They just reminded me of each other, but they were really different reading experiences.

I really want to read Hazelthorn--maybe next month. I still have 2 to finish here, plus Berit and other challenges I want to do this month. But arghh... so much grading.
