It’s time to kick off the nomination process for Reading List books to discuss in January through June 2026. Please send me your nominations through the Goodreads mail system; do NOT post them in this thread. To send me an email, just click on my name or picture in this message to go to my page, then click “More”, and select “Message” from the drop-down menu. You do not need to be on my friend list to send me a message.
All members are welcome to nominate, but you should be prepared to kick off the discussion if a book you nominate wins. Each member can nominate two books. Both fiction and nonfiction books are eligible. To be consistent, please list each nomination with author first, then the title, a short description and the number of pages.
As you're thinking about your nominations, remember that nominations for the Classics Corner will be submitted right after we get the Reading List set. We don't have a set definition of the difference between the two categories, so just use your best judgement as to which category will be most appropriate for your nominations.
Let’s aim to submit Reading List nominations by midnight this coming Sunday - that’s Nov. 2, for those of you who still live by the calendar :) If you want to make a nomination but can’t get it to me by then, please let me know and I can stretch the deadline. Once nominations close, I’ll organize them for voting. I’m looking forward to getting lots of nominations!
I'm disappointed to report that only one person has taken the time to nominate books for the upcoming Reading List. Please give it some thought and send me your nominations this weekend!
