Oliver Lyle Riley is really Oliver Hennessy, Valerie Walsh’s first child out of wedlock. He’s Nikki’s half brother and he killed Tyler and abducted Lacey. Did you see any of that coming? Is it reasonable to believe that for all those years Valerie kept that child secret from her husband and daughter?

Nikki remembers Oliver being at her grandmother's house when she was very young. So, he was obviously known to the general family. I think it would be tough to keep him a secret from Valerie's husband and daughter. Someone other than Valerie and her mother had to have known. Even Annmarie's father knew about her "secret", so I assume others did too.

I was shocked when Tyler was killed. I didn't see that coming at all.

I understand the secret, especially living in a small town. I don't believe Valerie's mother kept the secret from her husband. Nikki was young when they died. I get keeping the secret from her until she is older.

I was shocked and disappointed that Tyler was killed. I hate it when authors kill off a main character as a way to clear the path for the new romantic interest. I prefer a different path.
