Though not the best writing or most cohesive telling, Kline gives a realistic look at circus life, the infighting and hierarchy, as well as the determination and hard work required.

Staring as a burlesque dancer, Kline joined the circus first as a statue girl but moved to rodeo trick riding and eventually ariel acts, becoming famous for the "slide for life", a variation of the iron jaw act, sliding down from heights hanging from her teeth.

I do think her life could be turned into an interesting and in-depth movie/miniseries.
