• Enemies to lovers• "He hates everyone but her"
• Mafia
(There's definitely a theme here 😂 I love a grumpy, brooding mmc)
However I really struggle to enjoy second change romances. And the miscommunication trope always infuriates me 🙃
Des wrote: "I feel like I’m the same, I love love love a best friends to lovers too"omg yes. I need more recommendations for books with this trope bc I'm obsessed.
i am OBSESSED with forced proximity, like when they just cannot stop bumping into each other or are forced to be at an event, school setting, etc. with each other!!
I love a enemies to lovers trope when it’s done right. Most books are currently annoyance to lust or similar. I also love forced proximity. As well as a epic quest to save the world while they get to know each other but I’m not sure what trope that is tbh

Either enemies to lovers or fated mates. (Bonus points if its both and they either don't realize it or don't want to acknowledge it.) I think it's so comforting that 2 characters that know the worst sides of each other can still fall in love and have healthy relationships.
romance tropes:dark vs. sunshine
friends to enemy
fantasy tropes:
prophecy
For some strange reason, I also enjoy reading about situations in which non-humans defend their lands (or their planet) from human invasion, like Scoia'taels in The Witcher books or Athsheans in The Word for the Forest.

It's a good thing in any genre.
