i agree i mean he says he does those to protect her which is kinda funny considering how she's doing especially in the second book
I mean I love Tamlin but in the second book he was portrayed as this totally controlling, slightly obsessive person and I think it just made Rhysand more appealing to the readers

I do like Tamlin even if I do prefer Rhys, and I 100 % agree with you, I do believe he was portrayed a certain way so people could not like him in way.

YES! i really think he was done dirty
I still think she should’ve been with Lucien. They had SO MUCH CHEMISTRY 🔥
Way more than her and Tampon.
Also, I loved their friendship.
Fricken adorable.
I have more words to say on this subject but I don’t wanna spoil stuff.
I️ think in the second book Tamlin was more comfortable with Feyre and his hold over her. Feyre was still a bright eyed young girl enthralled in the land of fairies. He was easily able to keep her locked away because he thought she was 100% for him and his court. I️ don’t think he was made to look like an abusive and controlling partner so we all fell for Rhys, I️ think he was that way all along. He only started to show his true colors because he knew something was up. After the mountain Feyre was different and he didn’t know how much longer he’d be able to keep her for himself especially because I’m sure he was able to sense her powers.
I agree with that so much. I liked Tamlin at first but I stopped liking him pretty quickly. Once she was under the mountain I began hoping I wouldn't have to deal with him the whole series.
Major spoilers for the later booksI️ honestly think that’s why I️ liked the first and second book so much. We were interacting with the world through Feyre’s POV which meant we were shown the good because of how highly she thought of Tamlin. Our opinions were formed by Feyre’s naiveness to the Fairy world and her lack of real world/people experience. Once she was finally able to form her own opinions because of outside influence; the mountain, Rhysand, and her powers, we were able to see how poorly he really treated her. We are also able to see the same sort of power grab in different instances of his like with Lucien, Rhysand’s mother and sister, and his connection with Hybern. He wants power and he will do anything to get it without regard of the future or how the things he does will affect others.

Wdym „he is my high lord anf i obey him“?!! and „he does not ALLOW me to do this and that“
All they do is having cringe xxx scenes
