Lucas Blackstone (lblackstonewolf) | 1 comments Several different books have mislabeled author information that supports refused to correct

Each one is labeled as Stephen Richard, this is not correct.

As the author this is not acceptable for support to refuse to correctly list books.

In doing some searching i hoped that this group will be able to correct it and also merge two books that have duplicate listing

Scott | 9683 comments These actions do not require a superlibrarian. Please move it to Book Cover Help or Book Issues.

Probably they "refused" to change the name because it is the name on the covers.

Tawnya | 4098 comments Lucas, this is a legal question. Volunteer librarians, super or otherwise, have no control over these things. My suggestion would be to get legal representation. I can recall Barbara Walters talking about someone using her likeness to scam people into buying their book. That was in the 90s. She said they would close up one shop and open another. The ease of self publishing and AI has made such scoundrels even more emboldened.

No, it is not.

Arenda | 26452 comments From the Librarian Manual:

In some cases, a book may be originally published under a pen name, but then later reissued under the author's original name. When this happens, the author listed for any and all editions should be the author name the book was originally published under - so the reissued edition would need its primary author name changed to the originally published pen name, with the additional name added as secondary for all editions with it on the cover. Doing this will allow the various editions to be combined.

This question does not belong in this folder, as Scott said, but in the Book & Author page issues folder.

Tawnya | 4098 comments I did not realize that Lucas had changed his name. I thought this was a case a someone stealing another person's work like we were talking about in another thread. Sorry for misunderstanding.

This is not a Librarians Group issue. For these queries, please either check Goodreads Help (https://help.goodreads.com), or you may wish to use the Contact Us page (http://www.goodreads.com/about/contac...). Closing thread.
