Hide Books

I'm not sure if I am in the right place or not. I have been trying to figure out how to hide the books I am reading off of my author's page. I do not want the people I am interacting with to see what I am reading. I could be reading a book about how to remove fungus out of my husband's toenail. :) Which I'm not, but seriously can this be done? I think people can see my friends, my heartbeat everything.
