Ruth | 124 comments Would you rather…
Road trip across US or fly to the destination?

message 3: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Road trip
Would you rather have pizza or burgers?

message 4: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments Definitely a road trip — too many stories hide between the miles.
And pizza, always. Burgers are for quick stops, pizza is for thinking. 😄
Would you rather read at night or write at night?

message 5: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Read at night. (I totally agree on road trips!)

WYR have the power to never feel physically pain or never feel emotional pain…

message 6: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments Tough one! I think emotional pain shapes us more — without it, stories would lose their soul.
But maybe one quiet night without either wouldn’t hurt. 😅
Would you rather forget one painful memory or relive one perfect moment?

message 7: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Equally tough…but I would rather relive the painful memories. Some of the most painful can be our most precious. Example, caring for my dad when he has Alzheimer’s was terrible, but they are my last memories with him.
WYR…be at a pool or beach?

message 8: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments That’s really touching, Ruth. Painful memories often hold the deepest love — it’s what makes them stay with us.
I’d pick the beach — something about the sound of waves feels like peace after a storm.
WYR spend a day without technology or without speaking to anyone?

message 9: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Spend a day without speaking to anyone. I live in the deep woods and value my quiet time…
WYR live in a treehouse or a cave?

message 10: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments Treehouse for sure! There’s something magical about being above the ground, surrounded by leaves and wind.
WYR explore the ocean depths or hike up a misty mountain?

message 11: by John (new)

John Olson (agg9900) | 108 comments Painful memories after time lose the pain but hold the memory.

I’d rather hike up a misty mountain than explore the oceans depth. Claustrophobia gets me just thinking about the submarine to the bottom. I drove a tour bus as my midlife crisis job for 22 years until I retired. I’ve driven up mountain roads in snow sleet ice rain wind. I also hate commas, not really. I found out during my short retirement that I absolutely missed some different conversations. My wife found places to hide to be in quietness. My daughter worked a Prostrate Cancer research center and asked if I would transport some patients and take temps in 2020 and at almost 74 it was a new lease on life. Hence the long answer to Hike up a misty mountain.

WYR live in the woods with entertainment or without all the devices of distraction?

message 12: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments No devices!
WYR BBQ or Italian dinner?

message 13: by John (new)

John Olson (agg9900) | 108 comments Italian smoked spaghetti cover both in one

WYR Thai or Korean BBQ?

message 14: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments John, that was really moving to read — sounds like your journey had both storms and peace along the way. I like how you found meaning in the quiet moments too.
As for your question — I’d rather live in the woods without any devices. Sometimes silence teaches us more than all the noise around us. 🌲
And Ruth, I’ll go with Italian dinner — good food and stories always win. 🍷
WYR watch the sunrise from a mountain top or the sunset by the ocean?

message 15: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Sunset at the beach (reflecting off the water with the waves crashing!)
WYR have no tv for life or no radio for life?

message 16: by Chris (new)

Chris | 753 comments Would you rather cook dinner for 25 people or go out to dinner (it is a set menu) and pick up tab.

message 17: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments I’d rather cook! There’s something special about sharing food you’ve made yourself — even if it’s chaos in the kitchen. 😄

message 18: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Vasyl o agree with you again. lol

WYR: shop in a store or online shop?

message 19: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments I’d go with shopping in a store. There’s something real about touching things, seeing colors, and talking to people — it feels more human.
But I have to admit, online shopping wins when time is short and life gets busy. 😄

message 20: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments WYR: (for movies made from books) watch the movie first then read the book or read the book before the movie?

message 21: by John (new)

John Olson (agg9900) | 108 comments Ruth, I’d rather read the book first. Otherwise I’d be disappointed not knowing what the movie really should be.

WYR Driver a new car or drive one that has been driven gently?

message 22: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Drive one driven gently. Drive off in a new car and automatically lose $20,000 in equity. lol.
WYR live in constant cold climate or hot climate?

message 23: by John (new)

John Olson (agg9900) | 108 comments That’s a very tough question, but I’d say hot climate.

message 38: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments WYR: Live to 80 and be poor or live to 40 and be rich?

message 39: by John (new)

John Olson (agg9900) | 108 comments Unless you’re incredibly wealthy, you will go out like you came in. My 97 yo mother has almost spent her entire wealth. Not that she was wealthy. 80 and poor for me.

WYR drink tap water or bottled water?

message 40: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments You actually can live long even if you’re not rich — I always tell my patients the same thing.
You have a choice: change your lifestyle — eat a bit healthier, walk 30 minutes a day, every day —
or keep living the same way and take pills for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, kidneys, heart, and so on.
You don’t decide at 70 — you decide at 30 or 50.

message 41: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Well said Vasyl! My doctor has preached moderation to me since my 20’s. He said what you eat at that age sets the tone for your senior years.
I try to live a minimalist lifestyle…except my addiction to books, so I would choose 80 and poor.

message 42: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments Thank you, Ruth! Your doctor was absolutely right — small choices in our 20s echo decades later.
And I love your minimalist approach (books are a healthy addiction anyway 😄).

message 43: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Bottled water for sure.

message 46: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Short term
WYR have pizza delivery or make your own pizza?

message 47: by Vasyl (new)

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 46 comments I’d make my own pizza — it always tastes better when you’ve earned it 😄.
(Though I’d probably eat half the cheese before it even reaches the oven!)

WYR: spend a year traveling the world or a year living completely off the grid in peace and silence?

message 48: by Chris (new)

Chris | 753 comments Ruth wrote: "Bottled water for sure.
WYR: live without your phone for a week or live without coffee for a week?"

Without phone. The reason being is people don't connect outside their phone. There are so many beautiful things to see.

WYR live where is snows a lot or rains a lot

message 49: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 124 comments Live off the grid where it rains a lot.

Would you rather have super-slow internet or a low phone battery?

message 50: by Angela (new)

Angela Bennett | 63 comments Both! Sometimes, for me, I need to decompress from the chaos of the world in every means possible (slow internet, I'd pick, if choosing one)

Would you rather have the ability to speak every language or the power to teleport anywhere instantly?
