I've recently been struggling with some things in my personal life and I am really wanting to read, but I can't get myself to. I'm currently reading The Will of the Many, and I am loving it and I wanna keep reading it, but my mental health can't cope with the more complex/heavier themes and pacing of the book right now.
Any advice? (No need to worry about my mental health itself- I am using my support system)
I️ definitely agree with Maddie, pause the book that you’re on right now! Whenever I️ get into a slump or am in the middle of a book that I️‘m not enjoying, it may be annoying, but I always put it down and come back to it later. Try and read something shorter or even an audio book could help. Sometimes stopping and watching a tv show or movie is beneficial so that you don’t start to lose interest in reading altogether.
