Anyone can nominate as many books as you'd like and look for a buddy! Any book that gets two nominations or more will have a buddy thread created for discussion during November. Please decide your start date and reading pace/reading goals in this thread. Once that has been decided, the mods will create a Buddy Read Discussion thread for that title. Reading the Buddy Read Guidelines is strongly recommended. There is no promise that you will have a buddy read for your nomination(s).

Sarah-Vanessa | 511 comments In consideration of the Winter Games… I have a lot of nominations 😂😂.

Vicious Fae
Broken Fae
Warrior Fae
Mile High
The Deal
The Hunger Games
Hell Bent
A Discovery of Witches
Shadow of Night
The Book of Life
The Lost Bookshop
How My Neighbor Stole Christmas
Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries
Alchemised
How to Seal Your Own Fate
The Cinnamon Bun Book Store
The Poet X
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Oathbound
Rewitched

I‘m not planning to read all of these during November, but they are all books that fit prompts of the winter challenge. And maybe some of you would like to buddy read any of these books.

@Sophie sorry it’s a lot I know 🙈🙈

Juliane | 355 comments @ Sarah-Vanessa Woah Big Plans 😂
1. Would love to join you for Oathbound (Have started before in the spring but a buddy read will help starting anew)
2. Regarding the "All Souls"-Series, I already read "A discovery of Witches" but would be happy to join you for part two and three of the series whenever you've read book one. Unless you already read part two, because you didn't list it, then the question would most likely be moot anyway😅

message 4: by Sarah-Vanessa (new)

Sarah-Vanessa | 511 comments @Juliane Yes, big goals… I‘ll never read all of these 😂😂 Just thought why not suffocate everyone with a huge list, that fits the prompts for the winter challenge.

I‘m in for Oathbound I just want to finish this series - although it seems there’s a 4th book coming in the future - and haven‘t yet.

Messed up the All Souls series… Haven’t read any of them, started A discovery of witches a few weeks back and dnf‘d it. But I so want to read this series, so let’s give it another chance. We can do book 2&3 ( just changed my initial post). I‘ll read book 1 before our buddy read.

message 5: by Juliane (new)

Juliane | 355 comments @ Sarah-Vanessa I know the feeling planning way too much for the Team-Games 😂

Regarding Oathbound, finding out just before the publication that this wasn't the big finish and there will be a 4th book was part of the reason I had a bit of a slump during my first try 😅
What do you think about 10-11 days, should leave us with an average of around 60 pages a day.

Regarding All Souls-Series, Sorry I added another book to your list with part two 😂 I don't mind checking if my library has part 4 available if we want to continue after three. Just let me know whenever your ready after part one and we can discuss timing/schedule then if that works for you too

Brianna C | 1261 comments I also started planning for the games so my apologies for my list as well! (Additionally, not all books I hope to read specifically in November but I do hope to read most then as December is the busiest month for me at work.)

Mickey7
The Girl on the Train
Poor Things
O Caledonia
When the Moon Hatched (technically a re-read but would love to be refreshed before the sequel)
Snowglobe
What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides
Lightlark
The Baby Dragon Café & The Baby Dragon Bakery

Janice Hallett - Most of her books are unusual format and mixed media. I've read The Appeal already so mostly considering The Twyford Code or The Killer Question. I do have a couple others by her as well so doesn't have to just be one of the ones listed.

@Sarah-Vanessa: I am terrified but this may be the kick in the pants I need but I will buddy read Alchemised with you!

message 8: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Peralta | 11 comments I wouldn't mind reading the hunger games :)

message 9: by Anushka (new)

Anushka Malik (_anushkamalik) | 499 comments I'd love to read Alchemised as well! Count me in!

Sarah-Vanessa | 511 comments @Brianna I fully understand, Alchemised is terrifying. Happy to read this together with you and @Anushka

@Brianna I love your selection. I might come back to your suggestions, as soon as I completed my planning for the challenge (probably end of October). Some of them are on my TBR.

@Michelle Great! I haven’t read any of the Hunger Games Books. What about you? For now I just planned to read book one, but let’s wait and see… Happy to Buddy Read with you.

I forgot Crown of Midnight on my huge nomination list. 😜

@Sarah-Vanessa & @Michelle I'm down to read The Hunger Games as well as Catching Fire & Mockingjay ?

@Sarah-Vanessa, @Brianna & @Anushka I'm also going to be brave and join you guys for Alchemised. I tried to read it when it was a fanfic a couple of years ago, and lets just say I was a little put off.....

@Sarah-Vanessa, I'm also happy to read The Poet X & The Perks of Being a Wallflower with you. I know you've got a busy month ahead so we can move to December if it's easier for you but those two should be much easier and faster reads nonetheless.

@Brianna I'm definitely down to read What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides. Book 1 will be a re-read for me but I'll make sure I don't spoil anything for you.

message 12: by Sarah-Vanessa (new)

Sarah-Vanessa | 511 comments @Sophie Alright I could switch some things around and we could do all 3 Hunger Games Books. Do you want to read all three of these in November or would you like to spread it over the two months?
Poet X and the Perks of being a Wallflower works for me to read both during November.

Happy to have you for Alchemised as well. 🥰

@Brianna @Sophie I‘m intrigued to join you for What the River Knows and Where the Library hides… But I might put too much on my plate, so I‘ll join spontaneously, depending on how the month goes.

message 13: by Anushka (new)

Anushka Malik (_anushkamalik) | 499 comments @Brianna C would you like to read the remaining Crowns of Nyaxia books in November?

I'm going to play devil's advocate and nominate a few....

A Man Called Ove
Beartown
The Seven Year Slip
The Dead Romantics
Penance
Fuel the Fire
Long Way Down
Moonstone
The Night Circus
Ready or Not

Due to the fact I've already joined a couple of buddy reads, I'm definitely not going to read all of these in November, but I'm happy to save them until December :)

message 15: by Sarah-Vanessa (new)

Sarah-Vanessa | 511 comments @Sophie I‘ll join you for Night Circus. That’s on my list as well for the winter challenge. I was going to nominate it for December. We can read it during November or December, depending on what’s better for you ☺️.

@Sarah-Vanessa @The Night Circus

I'll see how the schedules are for the rest of the already agreed BR's are, and if it just doesn't fit, I'm more than happy to read it in December instead :)

Brianna C | 1261 comments re: Alchemised: Sarah-Vanessa, Anushka, Sophie
With this one being over 1,000 pages, should we space it across the full month of November?

re: What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides: Sophie, Sarah-Vanessa
What the River Knows would also be a re-read for me but I wanted a refresh before hopping into the sequel. Did we want to try for both in November and maybe 5 days each?

re: Crowns of Nyaxia: Anushka
I'm not planning on reading any of the novellas so the next one my plate would be The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk. I'd be down to buddy read it! Any preference on month or length? (ETA: I just noticed you mentioned November which works for me - any particular time frame for this one? I don't think it's as long as the third was but I could be mistaken.)

message 19: by Sarah-Vanessa (new)

Sarah-Vanessa | 511 comments @Brianna I think it’s a great idea to spread it over the whole month.

@Brianna @What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides

I can do the five days for each, I'll create the schedule tomorrow, what date would you want to start?

re: Alchemised: Sarah-Vanessa, Anushka, Sophie
It looks like there are 3 parts and 78 chapters, plus an epilogue so 79 total. That would be an average of 2-3 chapters a day. Would that work for y'all?

re: What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides: Sophie, Sarah-Vanessa
Earlier in the month would work for me! Currently I don't have anything specific planned so fairly open.

Anushka Malik (_anushkamalik) | 499 comments re: Alchemised: 2-3 chapters a day sounds good.

re: The Fallen and the Kiss of Dusk: Nov 20 - Nov 30 would be great. I'll get time to read the novella by then.
