Hey, can someone explain the ending a bit better? I was following along, but I sort of don't understand what happened once she goes to the bar.

Ella Thanks :)

Taylor MacKinnon Well when Nick gets to the bar she finds out about the underground business that Dara was involved in & has a gut feeling that it's related to both Dara and Maddie's disappearances. After that, she runs away. In the next chapter the reader believes that Dara is going to the lighthouse and has also figured out about the link between Andre and Maddie. She runs away from the lighthouse and to the scene of the accident where she sees "RIP DARA" signs & gifts etc. CONFUSION ENSUES hahah. Then from Nick's perspective, it is revealed that Nick and Parker kissed and Dara (who may or may not have been on drugs) directly caused the accident by grabbing the wheel. Dara died in the accident. It is then revealed that the entire time both the "Nick" and "Dara" point of views were Nicole the entire time. She had some sort of PTSD related/schizophrenia/dissociative personality disorder going on. Anyways, looking back a lot of little details fall into place! Why Parker called "Dara" "Nick" in the car & was confused when accused of calling her by her sister's name. Why her step mom asked "Dara" about her job at the amusement park. Why her mother would get upset that she went into Dara's room. Why the dad referred to Dara's birthday as just "the 29th", why the "four of them" was meant to be the mom, dad, Nick, and her aunt. Why her parents got so upset at the restaurant when Nick blamed everything on Dara and said "she isn't coming" etc. Hope this helped!

Ella Thank you! Everything makes sense now!

Safa Khan Thank you so much, after finishing the book I had to do "research" on understanding the ending and this REALLY helped. Everything makes sense.
