I need to find the name of the fantasy book series.

I have a few details about the series to include that I have from memory.

The main character is killed at the end of the first book. The following books follow different characters perspectives including his son as they try and seek revenge against his killer
In the first book there are multiple characters summoned to train at this place and they all go on an adventure to an island where they release an evil creature into the ocean.
At the end of the series the father is resurrected along with other characters to fight along side everyone else in the final battle. This happens right as the good guys are gonna loose.
There are dragons and one of the books is a quest to find the dragon king and convince him to fight.
The cover of one of the books has a giant golden dragon on it.
The main characters fight creatures that are ork-like in nature but they aren’t called orks. I believe they are something that starts with M. In addition there are giants on the bad side.
There is a time skip from book one to book two.
The first book has autumn or summer in the title I THINK but don’t quote me on that.
