R. Roy | 4 comments Hello,

I submitted my request on 10/2/2025 to add my book. Generally, how long does it take to get a book added? Will I receive confirmation that it was added or notification if there is an issue with adding it?
Thank you.

Valentine | 1831 comments Hello Robyn, librarians are volunteers and there are 4000+ pending requests at the moment. Different librarians also work in different ways, so timings can vary a bit. There is some more detailed information on this here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Do make sure you’ve ticked the ‘notify me when people comment’ box on your original thread, and then you will receive a notification on Goodreads when a librarian responds to you, via the little bell icon.

I’ve had a quick look at your request though; we would just need a link to the book via an acceptable source where we can also confirm all the details (so the ISBN, and everything else would need to be listed on the page). The website says the book is available on Amazon; the link is broken, but an Amazon listing would be fine.

Alternatively you can send scans/photographs from your own physical copy; the cover, and the page containing the publication information. (You can upload pictures to Goodreads by adding them to ‘your photos’; by going to your profile, clicking on your profile picture, then clicking ‘add more photos’ on the top right of the page. If you also wouldn’t mind stating the source of the image, that would be wonderful.)

I will move this thread to the [closed] folder to move it out of the queue of pending requests, but you can update your original one as needed, and someone will then be able to help: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

(You might wish to remove your email address from your query; the message board is public and we do get quite a bit of spam-type messaging. You should see ‘reply | edit | delete’ at the bottom right-hand corner of message #1.)
