Are the books you pick from a list or is the goal to just read 1001 books? Would be grateful for answers!

If you look at the banner at the top of our home page, you see a picture of one of the books in the 1001 Books You Should Read Before You Die editions. So yes, the books we read are from a list of the books in these editions. There have been several editions over the years with additions and deletions. The total number of books is now over 1300. You can find a link to a downloadable spreadsheet under the topic HELPFUL STUFF. If you need more help, just let me know.
