my book was attributed to the wrong author with the same name as me

hi, i didn’t realize there was another author with my same name. i recently published my first book and saw that my book was automatically put under their author profile. can it be switched to mine and is there a way to prevent this in the future? i’m still new and learning how everything works.

You can claim the page using the link at the bottom where it says "Is this you? Let us know." You can find more information about the Goodreads Author program here.

No way to prevent. You can try to add your books manually, before they're auto-imported, using Delia^^Wilde in the author field (two spaces).
