Emma Bloom | 2 comments Hello. My books are constantly assigned to another Emma Bloom on Goodreads. I write steamy contemporary romance, and publish on amazon.com only. So far, my books are in Billionaire and Sports romance.

Every time I launch a new book, my ARC and my readers cannot find my books. Each time, I had to reach out to Goodreads. I have left some info for the librarians, and I'm not sure what else I can do.

My recent book is PENALTY Kiss.

It is assigned to the other Emma Bloom who writes in a very different genre. Currently from her goodreads info, her url is https://www.goodreads.com/authormelis....

Here's two problem... (1) I have my readers in adding her thinking it's me. I know so because sent me emails asking why I have such different genre books on Goodreads. (2) Then I have her readers reading my books, and giving me low reviews because my books are totally not meeting their expectations for the genre they want to read.

I was told that the other Emma Bloom was an author before I became one, so there's nothing I can do about my profile.

I need to do something about this, because Goodreads is a great source to advertise my books, but I can't do so, if my books are not in my catalog.

I hope someone can help me...

THank you,

EMma

Marco López (muerte_a_credito) | 137 comments I moved the book to the correct profile.

What happens is, if there's multiple author profiles with the same name, everytime a new book is automatically added by Amazon it goes to whatever profile was claimed first. The way the system differentiates each profile is by (internally) adding a blank space between the first and last name ("Emma_____Bloom" in your case). I don't know if there's a way to avoid this hassle for new releases.
