The Fall Risk by Abby Jimenez – 4 stars

This was such a cute, short romance—just what I needed as a palate cleanser between some heavier reads. The situation that brought the main couple together was hilarious and one of those totally implausible but somehow also possible moments that life throws at you. The supporting characters added a lot of fun and dimension to the story, making it even more enjoyable. The ending did feel a little rushed; I’m not sure what more it needed, but it did feel like it came on a bit abruptly.

I also really related to the frustrating, ongoing theme of women having to deal with everyday gaslighting—so aggravating and, unfortunately, so real. This was my first experience with Abby Jimenez. I know she’s kind of polarizing in online book circles, but I liked this enough to try more from her!
