starting ch 1 now!
Hey MelanieJoy, I started this morning and totally got sucked in. I keep reading a chapter between chores. I ready through chapter 9.The quirky family are fascinating and seem to be hiding too many secrets. The shifting POVs are interesting to get in on some of the secrets and concerns. I love little Drew. I am desperate for Hazel to figure out more of the secret letter. Also what did Tom do???
Cruising through this book trying to unravel the mysteries. I did guess at Gregory's mystery woman and his other big secret. I'm still hoping that Isaac has outwitted most of them and Hazel ends with a happy ending.
Im in ch 6 but I think I’ll pick up speed!
I'm on ch 11. The pacing feels a little slow and clunky but I'm hoping it picks up. (It could also be me trying to retain the story on postpartum levels of sleep, haha.) That said, I currently don't love Hazel. Some of the descriptions of her thoughts made me think she was whiny and wishy washy. But maybe that's on purpose.
Congrats on the new baby! It ended as a 3 star read for me as it felt like the author was trying to do a bit too much. It read somewhat quickly though I was intrigued to find out the mystery.
I'm done with the book! I also gave it 3 stars. The writing was great and really intriguing. It did feel like there were a lot of loose ends that had to be tied up. And I also just didn't like the characters. I wasn't a fan of Hazel's for much of the book and I definitely didn't like Philip or Greg, or any of the rest.I did figure out who the equation was left with before it was revealed.
