.

Rhyleigh ~brace for a storm~ | 347 comments I mean, we won't like it, but it's good for our overall health and it is good for people who don't have any time to be active at home

I honestly liked PE in elementary, but ik there are plenty of ppl who don't. I feel like we didn't really work out that much. It was mostly just Lets Dance and games and stuff. It was fun imo.

yes, it should be. pe is actually really important, and it's been scientifically shown that exercise literally makes your life happier

⋆✧Maddie ✧⋆ | 48 comments I think that PE class should definitely be required because it is good for peoples health. I mean simply walking everyday is super good for your body so running around and playing sports is great. Being active is not only good for physical health but its great for mental health. Also, I had an aunt who stopped walking and she ended up getting to the point where she never walked again. So, instilling that kind of thing at a young age could be great for the kids health. Also, PE class was super fun for me and I'm sad that I go to online school now because it was a great way for me to have fun and get energy out. PE class is also good for the regular teacher because it makes the kids more tired an less likely to cause issues.

Naimallama🦙:P | 28 comments I think that P.E. in elementary shouldn't be a bunch of drilling like little soldiers, I think at first it should be fun little activities. In middle school you can start teaching them how to do things and in High School you can start drilling them lol

Esmaur ✨ (the life of a showgirl)(Charles Leclerc’s version) | 1 comments I think that in elementary school it shouldn’t be too hard, like you shouldn’t be exhausted everyday. In middle school you do more, but still not to the point of exhaustion, and in hs I think that you should do it and you still should not be sooo tired after. Also in PE I feel like you should be learning about things that are actually useful to you, right now my school is doing a rugby unit the teacher hasn’t even told us how that could be useful to us in the future, so I’m confused why we are learning it. I think that also if you do a sport with the school or outside of school, you should be exempt, this is only so that you aren’t so sore for the sport that you do and then can not do it. If you do a sport outside of school like I said, then maybe have your coach right you a note or something you can give to the school so that you are opted out - this is only if you want to (be exempt).

olivia | 17 comments Well I used to hate P.E but I slowly began to tolerate it. Now its not that much of an issue for me. The mile is annoying since I do zero period but I do cross country so I have lots of practice with pacing\etc.

for me the worst thing in pe is pushups/pullups because i have like zero arm strength
the mile isn't that bad though

yeah I'm hopeless at pullups I've absolutely never been good at them
push ups depends on my physical state

Ava ୨ৎ (semi-hiatus) | 8 comments I think it depends. There are a lot of people including me who grew up with undiagnosed chronic illnesses, and I never knew that the average person wasn’t in a lot of pain while running. I think it can be good as physical activity is important for health, sure, but it shouldn’t be graded, because everyone has different physical capabilities and while you could argue that someone with less capabilities can say so and get out of it a lot of the time you grow up thinking things are normal and never know, so you think you’re just weak and get bad grades in PE, and for a lot of people a bad grade in one class can effect you a lot. So yeah, I think it should exist but it shouldn’t be graded and for younger kids it should all be fun, easy stuff (and you should be allowed to take tests in place of physical things like running)

in my elementary school in the spring we always had to run laps around the field in pe, and we did like 1200 meter and stuff… that was from grades 3-7 though

Thibaud Sanchez | 1 comments Yes it should be required as it is good for both physical and mental health. There are too many screens at home and schools.

Nima | 23 comments Yes, but not for a grade. It was required for us in high school, but they graded us on skill instead of effort and that screwed over my gpa
