Rating/Review. I honestly don't know how to process this story. it was... a lot. will come back and give it a rating as soon as I comprehend what I just read.
edit: I think I'm going to land on a 4, (I tend to give a lot of 4s) it wasn't my absolute favorite but it was still a solid read. Again, it was A LOT as I'm not used to reading splatterpunk and I was hoping for a more cosmic horror tale. If any of y'all need a crazy ass story about a cult high on psychedelics, this is an option just please please please take the content warnings seriously with this.

Qualification - Published August 12th, 2025
Read - 10/13
Rating - 4 stars
Review - This book was not my favorite, it was just okay, not great. I did enjoy it though. I feel like this would've been a book that I would've loved to have read when I was like 18. Not quite my style now but it was a good read.
Here is your next task!Task 3 - 8. Read 4 books with a beach on the cover.
To qualify for this task, the book’s cover needs to clearly and obviously show a beach. Ideally, you would want to show sand/dirt and the edge of water on your covers. You can use any edition’s cover to qualify for this task. Please include the qualifying cover in your completion posts. If in doubt, please ask.

Rating/Review - ⭐⭐ The book started good with a good premise but then just expanded to too many side stories. Could have been so much better.
Tasks to decide - Hope Shandrea doesn't mind me doing this i think best to decide since we are all in different time zones.Same author

Review - I have been loving the stories of this author; this one was just kind of "ehh". It was good, but it was not great. Thankful it's a standalone.
ill look post here and the spreadsheet after work today, but i know I prefilled out some already relating to my age and location.

I am. Just with work it’s more harder to read. Might be Monday before I finish. Thought I’d read now but pretty shattered after work.

Please correct to the first edition Kindle page count (260). Thanks.
Here is your next task!Task 4 - 9. Each player reads a book in the same series, teams decide. No pass for this task.
As a team, select a series listed on GR and everyone reads a book in that series. (Does not have to be a numbered series.) Please include the selected series in your completion posts. Teammates can read the same or different books for this task. No pass for this task.
I'm not seeing many series we all have in common to be read(I did note a couple standalones), but I'm open to suggestions. Shandrea and I have entered some in the docs sheet. Not entirely sure what "does not have to be a numbered series" qualifies as.Edit: for those who cannot access the docs sheet, I submitted Jennifer L. Armentrout 's de vincent trilogy, Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (I still need to read Sunrise on the Reaping) and Kerri Maniscalco 's Prince of Sin books. But again, I am open to others.

What about this? Misadventures of a City Girl it’s a series that’s not numbered on good reads and are all stand alone in their own right but part of a series
Kat wrote: "What about this? Misadventures of a City Girl it’s a series that’s not numbered on good reads and are all stand alone in their own right but part of a series"I have a copy of that on kindle (so it works for me). But that book is only 149 pages so it won't work. I have Misadventures of a Backup Bride 166 pages.
I have read off campus and briar one. I’m on the other spin off now,There’s lots of that series that could work. As their stand alones, within a series will be hard to find that
Not sure how we are gonna decide. What about trying to choose ones that can be read as a stand alone Lauren Blakely
Kendall Ryan
Anna Lou Weatherly
Teagan Hunter
Alex Pine
Here are some authors on each of our read list that kind of matched up. I could only cross reference them with author's that I have read though. This might give us an idea of some series. Shandrea - Kari Lake, Vi Keeland, Lauren Asher, Abby Jiminez, Ana Huang, Sara Kate, Tessa Bailey, Kendall Ryan, Christina Lauren, Colleen Hoover, KA Tucker, Kandi Steiner, Devney Perry, Emma Chase, Kaylie Smith, Avery Flynn, Kylie Scott, Katee Robert, Ali Hazelwood
Renee - Ana Huang, Tessa Bailey, Kaylie Smith, Lauren Asher, Brynne Weaver, Avery Flynn, Kylie Scott, Katee Robert, Sara Cate, Ali Hazelwood, Vi Keeland, Penelope Ward
Kat - Elle Kennedy, Abby Jiminez, Kendall Ryan, Christina Lauren, Colleen Hoover, KA Tucker, Tessa Bailey., Kandi Steiner, Devney Perry
Maritza - Elle Kennedy, Julie Ann Walker, l>J. Shen, Kylie Scott, Penelope Ward, Devney Perry, Emma Chase, Vi Keeland
I refuse to read any Colleen Hoover, but the others work for me. I'm leaning towards Kylie Scott. I had started on the Rockstar books sometime ago but havent read past Mal's book yet. I'm also open to the Dive Bar series. If the prompt was just same author, I'd push for Devney Perry since I'm dying to read Shield of Sparrows. um.. Kendall Ryan has been on my radar too.
I was trying to pick shorter reads as Denvey books are 340 pages Kylie Scott isn’t someone I have on my tbr and she isn’t on ku
I’d say we go with vi keeland as she’s on ny tbr and she is on the rest of our lists this seems our best option https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07JJY5WK...
Oops, I just saw your link Kat. I'll see if I can get ahold of playboy pilot, if not. im down to read cocky bastard again
