Chapters 1-9 => (view spoiler)[I've been listening and reading along. I find it's easier to catch on, especially in these historical books because I find my mind wanders some. They are usually heavy with world-building for a good portion of the beginning. This one is no different I see.

I'm really trying to figure out what role Eve played or is playing with Rose. Maybe she's not, but there has to be a reason we are seeing her portion in the past, right?!?!?

I'm also curious where this will go with Charlie. Will she keep the baby? Have an abortion? Is Finn a love interest? Or just someone that is available and she's playing up the 'whore' role everyone is calling her because she's pregnant? (hide spoiler)]

I'm curious if the author did the switching of chapters so you don't get bored with one person? Or maybe more for the dramatic? I can see what you're saying though. I've caught myself a couple of times having to look back at the beginning of the chapter to remember who's the main character.

Chapters 10-18 => (view spoiler)[ It's picking up a bit. I'm not sure which story I'm more interested honestly. I do think there is some correlation with Eve and Rose, but still haven't put my finger on it yet.

I'm guessing that things are going to heat up between Finn and Charlie. I keep thinking he's going to step in and marry her and be dad to the baby. I could be wrong, but it would be nice for her to have someone and I do think they have a connection.

Eve getting pregnant wasn't a surprise. I expected it. But I feel like the bad is going to be with Rene finding out that she is a spy... (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 28-36 => (view spoiler)[ Of course Rene had Rose killed. Ugh...and it comes full circle.

Chapters 37-end => (view spoiler)[I can't believe that Eve tried to kill herself!! Ugh, and in front of Charlie at that!!! I'm glad that she didn't, I'm glad that she learned the truth.

I'm also glad that Finn and Charlie got married, and he became a dad to her daughter. They deserved to find some happiness in their life (hide spoiler)]
