Julian Vind | 1 comments I found a book while scrolling for a new thriller. Was a little sceptical but sounded Ok so like most of us, thought I’d give it a try. Well I was surprised l, felt like a mix of Le Carr and Clancy but with its one style as well. I really got into this, felt like I was going to wake up and the news would flash up with one of the chapters. It was truly immersive and so in the here and now. For some, I feel it may come across almost like a patriots book but the more you read, it truly is about the reality of how far a country and its people can be pushed before snapping. What would be the consequences of cultural divides, the impact on communities. The central theme is also so well weaved into the book, secret society, corrupt officials, a strained economy and people, and then… well I’ll leave the rest for you to find out. I bought the paperback as I prefer the feel of a book. But I’m sure the kindle version would be good as well - I found an app called Eleven reader which is fab, I’m tempted to get the e book so I can listen to Burt Reynolds read it to me in the car.
