I'll read pretty much anything but my genre of choice is always Romance!

I actively avoid Horror, High Fantasy and Young Adult - but I've been known to read them for challenges if I have to!

I mostly read fantasy, literary fiction and non-fiction with dabbling of sci-fi, cozy mysteries and the tamer side of romance.

I don't do Christian fiction or thrillers as much but can push through if needed.

I'm in! I mostly read romance, but will read just about any genre, with the exception of science fiction(would be willing to try, just haven't found anything that's grabbed my interest).

I do tend to read dark and taboo romances, in case that's an issue for any teams being put together.

I'm not sure who said that they stopped notifications, but I wanted to let you know that they kind of do, it's just in the app. Make sure you check the box "notify me when people comment" which is at the bottom just above the comment box.

I am with you on Christian fiction - even though I am a committed Christian I feel it doesn't portray my vision

I like to read a variety of different things, but would prefer to stay away from self help, horror or non-fiction (but I will read those on occasion). Some romance is okay but really only like it as an occasional palette cleanser.

My favorite genre is dystopian and I also enjoy fantasy and thriller. Recently, I've been enjoying Historical fiction too! I'm not too picky though, I enjoy a lot of things and I'm sure I can make anything work.

Preferences
(Christian) contemporary fiction, especially (cozy-)mysteries, romantic suspense if humorous even better, non-fiction of the lighter kind (more descriptive than books to work through like biographies, historical events, how something works etc.) short-story or novella collections (not more than 600 pages or 15 stories), humorous chick-lit, action & adventure

Avoidances
Horror, heavy violence and gore, any kind of emotional or sexual violence or abuse, dark, hardcore sci-fi or erotica, fantasy (especially anything with magic or heavy world-building), heavy non-fiction (those needing a lot of time and energy like self-help, spirituality or controversial topics or language isses), LGTBQ+, psychological thrillers, classics, historic fiction (written in old English), YA/NA and children's, true crime

Note:
1 or 2 historical novels in the course of this challenge are ok for me, light ghost stories are fine, mention of same-sex relationships as long as those are not detailed or major part of the plot line work for me too

Hi! Just saw the post about needing back ups or fill ins. I would love to be either. I'm new to the group so this could be a good introduction for me. I read a little bit of everything with preference going to urban fantasy, romance, and cozy mystery. I don't really read much for classics and i don't read a lot of physical books- mostly stick with audio and then ebook if that helps!

Read most anything else but Non-fiction I tend to read slower so often not good for a challenge
