It was a canned message about wanting friends and the person who posted identified herself on her page as someone helping authors market their books. This person (or bot) had put the same message in many groups. Of all our threads, it was the worst place to put it. I assume a Mod didn't delete it, specifically because of our policy. If a Mod removed that person from the group, would that cause the post to disappear? I didn't get a response from JennRenee, so I don't know if our Mods did anything or the original poster deleted it, or what.
I almost always look at the thread regularly to see what other people post, because I often get ideas about books that will qualify for a task that I hadn't thought of.
Pease DO NOT edit or delete posts on the completed task thread. One post seemed to have been deleted after I verified books and tallied points. This threw every post off after that and is taking a lot of time to figure out the spreadsheet on what changed and how to update all the points again.
This is a very important part of posting. Once a post is made its stays. If you need to change anything, then Unclaim the task. Here are the rules for doing that. Please take a second to review them if you've never done it before.
Also, please note, if you keep your own records of what task was claimed on what post, they will probably be off.
