How did telling my parents about something that annoyed me today (they asked btw) turn into an hour-long lecture, an email to my teacher, and an extra day of grounding?

What? That is so confusing! If they ask they should not get you in trouble! It’s like if your parents are like mine they prob say if u tell the truth u won’t get in trouble but then I tell the truth and I get in even more trouble than if I would have lied my way out!!!

Nothing I do is ever enough. "Oh you have a 103.29% in HONORS LANGUAGE ARTS? You could do better". Meanwhile by brother has a 79 in math and they don't care. Everything falls on me as the oldest and nothing is ever his fault. I swear one day I asked them if my brother pushed my off a cliff and I died would that have been my fault too.
