I guess I am someone who likes ferida mc fadden a lot but also has read not so fluffy pulpy thriller, which I like so yeah I don't judge

If it's a niche genre, it might get more appreciation in communities that might understand it more, as opposed to work settings or casual conversations! If it's a close friend, they would not be as quick to judge as an acquaintance. Personally, if it is a well written book, I think all books can add value, so I would not think to put down people who read "extreme horror".
