Mark Woodward | 2 comments Dear Librarians,

I’m writing to request a correction regarding one of my books that has been mistakenly attributed to another author with the same name.

Book Title: Juno and the Mouseman ISBN: 978-1-9160435-5-8

My author page is Mark Woodward (Author of The Liberation of Juno Jones) | Goodreads
but the book is currently linked to the author page of a different Mark Woodward:
Mark Woodward (Author of Epidemiology) | Goodreads

Would you please reassign the book to my author profile – and is there anything I can do to make sure this doesn’t happen in future?

I’d also appreciate some advice as to how to describe the book correctly - please re-direct me if this is not the right place for this request. As you will see, there are two versions of a previous book, entitled The Liberation of Juno Jones, which are no longer in print. This earlier book was intended to be the first in a series, which at the time was called The Mouseman Trilogy. I have since made radical revisions to the text, created a new cover and title and re-titled the series The Mouseman Project. Would it be correct to describe the new book, Juno and the Mouseman, as a first edition and the first in a new series?

Many thanks for your help with this,

Mark Woodward

Not much you can do to prevent it from happening. You can add your books yourself once you have their ASIN/ISBN if you like but I doubt it saves much effort.

As for your other question, if you consider "The Liberation of Juno Jones" to be another edition of "Juno and the Mouseman", which could very well be the case even if there are significant changes to the text, then they can be combined. The added advantage is that the old book would effectively be buried in the editions of the new book. As the author you can also set a default edition to ensure the one you want is visible on your profile.

Or if you prefer, you can keep them separate.

This request is complete.

Please edit the title / subject of your post and add [done] so other Librarians know it is complete.
