Nuisto | 26 comments I love taking time out of my evening to read my books, recently my friends commented on how I have a very specific way of getting cozy when I get ready for some reading and I was wondering if you guys have similar cozyness-rituals for a good night of reading.

I'll share mine:
- Preferrably I have just taken a shower and I am in fresh pajamas
- Chai Latte (iced if it is warm)
- Blanket
- Cat
- Gentle lo-fi
- Snack
- Hot water bottle (exclusive when it is cold, ofcourse)
- I'll sit in a specific corner of the sofa for this too
- Feet have to be wrapped in the blanket and, if possible, need to be touching my partner
- Soft light from my favourite lamp

I usually read on the train so when I do read at home I take it very seriously to get comfy I guess XD

Eva | 100 comments I only read in bed but I love to have some kind of warm drink and a cozy blanket

I go into the barn and sit on some hay with country cloths and music. That is how I read.

⋆✿Grace✿⋆ | 469 comments For max comfort I usually am in bed but I make do with a classroom desk

Bed necessities:
-pj's
-blankets (yes more than one is a must)
-weighted stuff animal
-pillows
-nightlight (if a physical book)
-water

School desk necessities:
-water
-headphones for music

and I think that's it

Dragon Queen For reading during the day it has to be:
-a good book (obviously)
-i sit on my bed
-pillow between me and the wall
-some kind of snack
- headphones with good music

for reading at night:
-lay on my bed
-book on the pillow
-reading light on
-feet under blanket
-the smell of rain and the sound from outside

I think that's it but it probably isn't

leonie | 30 comments most of the time i can only read if i am already in bed and it is the last step in my night routine!

it has to be dark (with exeption of my reading light ofc) and quiet!

sometimes i read on the train but it is harder for me to get into the story if there are a lot of distractions.
i can not read when it is not dark outside or if i have still things to do because i can not relex properlyy

Katniss Everdeen | 571 comments During the day:

On a very specific place on the couch.
A pillow under my book to prop it up.
A blanket raped around me.
And a water

At night:

Laying down on my bed my pillow under my head.
My chocolate bar stuffed animal under the book. (So I don’t break my neck trying to read it)
Under my blankets. (preferably cold outside)
Quiet in my room.

Yep that’s about it.

ST4RRZZ (slumping + school is killing meeeehhh) (xillix) | 4 comments just me, my couch, my Kindle, apple juice or a snack
or me in my bed, my Kindle again, and a pillow under my chin
but I better like the book

message 10: by J (new)

J | 31 comments I focus better when I go out in the living room on the couch and I'm by myself. I'll put on some video (it's been gmm compilations lately) and turn the volume low, put my legs under a blanket, and start reading.

If I'm really into a book or want to finish it, I'll read it in bed with a book light until I get sleepy.

bookboundb! | 1 comments I read anywhere and everywhere!! But this past year, I’ve really become a bath time reader. It’s funny because I used to hate baths and now my happy place is boiling like a lobster with a good book for an hour after work. Usually I have an instrumental playlist going that matches the vibes of the book, candles lit, and a cup of tea with honey.

Selina 🤎 | 5 comments I love to read when the house is not bothering me! No one needs me and I can cuddle up in the corner of the sofa put my phone on DND grab a cold tumbler of ice water and crackers and snuggle with my book until bed time.

message 17: by Stevie (new)

Stevie | 53 comments When I moved into my apartment a couple months ago, my roommate who already lived there had a big cozy chair in the corner of the living room - and that has very quickly become my reading chair, when I'm not reading in bed. I keep a fuzzy blanket there and have a lamp right next to it for maximum cozy while still being able to see. And thankfully I'm pretty good at ignoring distractions while i read so I can still sit and read while they're watching TV!

message 18: by Makayla (new)

Makayla | 11 comments As long as I have a cozy blanket I can read just about anywhere. Definitely love sitting in my couch in pj's wrapped in a blanket with some tea and the fireplace going.
