yall in one of my other groups someone posted abt zade opinions and there were hundredssss of comments talking abt how horrible he and the books are. obviously, as dark romance readers, we know that the things he does aren’t “good” but i have a hot take that i need fellow dark romance readers to give input on

out of all the dark romances ive read, zade is one of the ONLY mmcs who does good for others. i mean his whole identity is based on saving and helping victims of s*x tr*fficking. he also knew that addie had fantasies abt the things he did…..and idk i just feel like there is SO SO SO much worse and he gets all the hate

also, i feel that trigger warnings are for a REASON and if someone reads them, doesn’t like what they see but continues on to the book, then like…..isn’t that on them? idk maybe im just twisted…..but it’s all fiction

Happy birthday, Zade Meadows!!😆🖤 I mean yeah he does a lot of questionable things but I've read and loved MMCs that are worse than him so 🤷🏻‍♀️ Honestly he's so hated because he's the most popular dark romance character and people know him and therefore hate on him, if they knew about some other dr characters they'd most likely leave him alone or at least not bash him as much as they do
And yeah, triggers are absolutely there for a reason and Haunting Adeline isn't the only case where people absolutely ignore the triggers, read the book only to hate on it! Absolutely unnecessary.
No one's forcing anyone to read anything🤷🏻‍♀️
So, Zade, all dr characters that get unnecessary hate, get behind me!!!😆🖤🖤🖤🖤

Before I got into Dark Romance me and some of my work friends were talking about it and she flat out REFUSED to read it because there was the trafficking bit so out of curiosity I read it (it was my first DR) and told her about it. She still refuses because of it 😂 I love it! I thought it was great. Hunting Adeline was a bit much in some parts for me at the time but if I was to read it again now I'd have no problems. Happy birthday Zade 😘🖤

Cat and mouse duet is my 6 star read. I've never and I don't think I'll even come across a dark romance as good as this duet is. I really love zade and addie, but we can't deny that he did SA her. It's fine to enjoy this duet without defending his crimes. At times, half of the negative reviews are simply about what's already up there in the triggers. It's sad how much hate majority of the dark romance books in general get. I've seen some people who only read softer romance, give this duet a shot out of pure fomo and then hate on it. I mean there's a reason why triggers are given, if it's not your thing then just don't read it.

I've personally read many SA and Non-con books and rated some of them highly too (I DON'T condone any of that shit) so I don't ever reduce my ratings for what already is up there in the triggers. It's fine to read the darkest of romances and enjoy it without defending the characters wrongdoings. After all reading is subjective and we all have read/like reading questionable romances. Love Zade and Addie! 🤍

honestly zade could be my favorite male book character and the hate he gets is only from people that doesn’t like the genre or only want to hate for no reason, i know he actually SA her and I don’t condone any of that but it’s literally written in the triggers so how can i hate on something i alr knew it would happen from the very beginning and honestly a fantasy is a fantasy if you don’t like those crazy dark shit then just don’t read them, and beyond the SA part he’s actually a genuine guy he’s the one preventing those bad things from happening, and he already knew addie kinda had those fantasies in mind so 🤷🏻‍♀️
