i don't think I like romantasy that much. I have read close to 5 books that I just find underwhelming and I don't like book that shove tropes on me, it makes me guess what ever is happening in the book, which is not fun.so it is genre and tropes for me.
Better than the movies. Bored me half to death! Maybe I just don't like romance idk
@Muneeb. Please don't worry about offending others with your opinions. Especially for subjects as harmless as reading. Folks get offended everyday, it ain't nothing new. now don't get me wrong, I ain't one of those Anti-Woke folks. However, it's never good to constantly walk on eggshells in hopes of 'keeping the peace' (It doesn't work). so please share your opinions with pride, everyone
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert It was so Entitled and Self Indulgent. Cringe 😬 Then made it a Movie with Julia Roberts. Watched it with my Mom and just couldn’t Stop Making Comments. My Mom did not Enjoy Me being there. LOL
Sorry to all who love the series, but the twisted series NOT for me. I actually barely got through the first two.

I know its not a book but enemies to lovers.....I've read a few enemies to lovers book and I liked them its just you only get like two chapters of them actually being together...

A court of thorns and roses. I tried to read it back when I first got back into reading. around 70 pages later, It became the first book I've ever returned to the bookstore. Just terrible I tell ya. I don't understand why it's so popular.

This IS such an interesting thread! I see not only books, but genres and even certain authors... I apologize if I said it before, but 2 of mine are: ACOTAR and Silver Elite. Its really sad when the premise of a book is good, but they just go nowhere with it= Silver Elite. It also seems a lazy copy/paste of 4th wing & others. 🫣
The Catcher in the Rye (1951) - I hated the character Holden CaufieldAh, I see someone else in the response had similar feelings.

Daisy Jones and the Six. Just not a fan. Tried to watch the show too. Nope.
The Women. It felt like a bad soap opera with trashy romance and one dimensional characters. Which was so disappointing because I loved The Nightingale.
Powerful by Lauren Robert’s, I loved the rest of the series but I hated this book. I wasn’t able to finish it.
Better than the movies...actually i didn't hate It ...i just think It is predictable, kind of Boring and overrated.
