25.8 - Slideshell's Task: Eagles and Terps Touchdown Reading Rally

As a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles and Maryland Terrapins fan, I’m pumped to kick off football season watching the Eagles & Terps score some touchdowns!

This two-book challenge celebrates the thrill of football season with prompts inspired by the Eagles’ gritty spirit and the Terps’ college pride.

Pick two different options and read one book for each.
Required: State the options chosen.

Option 1: Fly, Eagles, Fly!
Nothing beats the roar of Lincoln Financial Field when the Eagles soar. This prompt channels that green-and-silver energy! Read a book with “fly,” “eagle,” or “green” in the title (standalone, no subtitles, but possessives allowed).

Option 2: Testudo’s Turtle Power
The Maryland Terps’ mascot, Testudo, brings luck to College Park. Let’s honor that turtle tenacity! Read a book set in a college or university (any genre).
Required: If the college setting isn’t clear from the Goodreads description, provide a reference.

Option 3: Game-Winning Romance
Football season’s passion spills into romance—think tailgate dates and cozy stadium kisses! Read a sports romance featuring football (pro or college).
Required: Please provide reference if it's not clear from the Goodreads page.

Option 4: Tailgate Traditions
From Philly’s passionate tailgates to Maryland’s spirited rallies, football brings communities together!
Read a novel set at least 75% in Pennsylvania or Maryland
Required: Provide reference to location if not obvious on book page.

Option 5: Victory Colors
Show your team pride with the bold colors of the Eagles (green, silver, white, black) or Terps (red, white, black, gold/yellow)!
Read a novel with a cover featuring the Eagles’ colors or Terps’ colors as the dominant color scheme. Covers must have a combined total of at least 50%, with each color being represented. To allow for using Tineye, grey will be used to denote silver.

Required: Post the cover and state the team used.

Option 6: Team Initials All-Stars
The Eagles and Terps shine with every letter of their names, from Philly’s spirit to Testudo’s heart! Read a book by a single author whose initials (first and last name) are found in PHILADELPHIA EAGLES or MARYLAND TERRAPINS.
Required: State the team chosen for the initials

It actually says Maryland in the synopsis so it works for me!

I will accept Eagles but not flies.

Unfortunately in this case I would not consider them comparable. I did enjoy that book though - hopefully you can find another prompt where it fits!

Sorry for the delay - I was out of town - but no this wouldn't work as there is no yellow/gold and that's a crucial part.
