Hey hey, I'm Ayesha - but you can totally call me Isa ;P Sooo confession: I haven't read a single Japanese book yet (don't throw tomatoes at me pls 😂), but that's why I joined this group! I really wanna step out of my comfort zone, and BOTM seems like the perfect way to start. Plus, nothing beats a good buddy read + some solid bookish debates 🫶

Fav books? Way too many lol — The Wrath and the Dawn, the Bird and the Sword, the Vawdrey Brothers trilogy, The Raven Cycle… and the list goes on.

Outside of reading, you can usually find me baking up a storm, crocheting random things, or aggressively reorganizing my TBR for the millionth time 🤍

I'm super excited to be part of this group, and so honored to be invited by you guys <3 Can't wait to see what exciting challenges y'all cook up ;) 🫂

I haven’t indulged in Japanese but I am a huge fan of Chinese fantasy/mythology so I’d like to see others’ recommendations!

I’m 32 and a mom but I really love reading, art, travel, movies etc

My favorite book of all time is The Celestial Kingdom duology by Sue Lynn Tan

hey!! i'm Amyfish (you can call me amy) and i'm super excited to be here. i've read some Japanese literature such as Before the Coffee Gets Cold and Sweet Bean Paste. i decided to join because i generally enjoy Japanese lit and i'm also half-japanese so i grew up with some folktales and looking to expand my knowledge<3

i usually read fantasy (heist books especially!) some of my favs being soc series, tog, and vicious. i also like cozy slice of life stories and a few thrillers every once in a while haha.

hobbies - rock climbing, reading, peaceful minecraft, and organizing. currently studying psych in college, looking to get in forensic pscyh :)
