I have a question.

I’m thinking of writing a retelling of Alice in wonderland with this kind of plot:

So Alice grew up and had a daughter named Ophelia, and throughout Ophelia’s childhood Alice told her about the whimsical wonderland. (she told her the original tale)
But when Ophelia sees a white rabbit on her sixteenth birthday and falls into “wonderland” she learns that her mother didn’t quite tell her the unaltered truth. Wonderland is a much darker and dangerous place.
Also, I’m thinking the Cheshire Cat would be the ml- but he obviously wouldn’t be a cat, he’d just be Yk, tricksy. And not at all trustworthy.
Anyway, this is just a rough description of the plot.

Would anyone read this?
And also, has this been done before? Cuz I’ve never read or watched anything like this, but you never know.

There's a book called Alice that my friends been reading that's a dark retelling. I think, like the walrus and the white rabbit are gang bosses or mafia bitches or smthn in that tho- idk. And the mad hatter is an ax murderer--
