You know the deal!

This is the thread for the September "Commit to one book monthly" challenge. In this thread, post one book you intend to read for September, so that everyone else can see your pick. When you finish reading it, we'd love for you to come back and post your opinion.

Yay! Kids are back in school!!! LOL

Tuxedo Park A Wall Street Tycoon and the Secret Palace of Science That Changed the Course of World War II by Jennet Conant Tuxedo Park: A Wall Street Tycoon and the Secret Palace of Science That Changed the Course of World War II which has probably been on my TBR for at least a decade. Time to shift it!

This was alternating time periods; however, it was easy to keep up with the characters. An unexpected twist at the end gave this one 4 stars from me.

I finished Tuxedo Park The Wall Street Tycoon Who Changed the Course of World War II by Jennet Conant (3-May-2003) Paperback by Jennet Conant . It was fascinating and as with many things that turned out to be inventive, effective and important, there's virtually no way what happened in Tuxedo Park could happen again. Too many forces working against it.

Lance (sportsbookguy) | 412 comments I decided to start this challenge in September in an effort to diversify my reading. As those who read my reviews or posts know, I read books about sports 99.5% of the time. I decided to use this challenge for one non-sports book each month. My September choice was an Audible original, The Fall of Saigon: The Vietnam War 50 Years in Review. The Fall of Saigon The Vietnam War 50 Years in Review by Edward G. Lengel . For a fairly short book, I really enjoyed its complete discussion of the history of the war and the gripping description of the last days before Saigon fell to the North Vietnamese army. Plus, any political discussion carried no bias or divisiveness - just factual information. Very good brief book on that war.
