Abbott is a driver for Lyft and an on-line gaming streamer, living with his father and not doing much with his life. A Lyft customer offers him a large amount of money to drive her from California to DC, along with a giant packing box - the sort of box used by bands to haul all their gear.

It turns out there are other interested parties who want to take possession of the box, chasing Abbott and his passenger across the country. They also attract a huge conspiracy following on Reddit, as well as the attention of a retired (and bored) FBI agent.

This was a fast-paced story, told from multiple points of view. The whole story was intermixed with the characters' opinions on the state of modern society, especially on how social media has replaced actual, healthy human interaction.
