However, if you have ever seen a picture of him, he is the spitting image of his dad, so there is no hiding the identity! LOL. ;)

Pamela, the same person that recommends Heart-shaped Box also recommends NOS4A2. I've added it to my TBR as well. Thanks for the reminder.

I have a friend whose husband is a confirmed curmudgeon. In fact, he is an over-achiever in this category. She and all her friends reference him as the curmudgeon, in all love, all the time.

The family business idea is brilliant!

Trish, I did know he wrote The Running Man but hadn't completely forgotten it. That was probably in the 80's or 90's????

I haven't read The Green Mile but really should.

I would probably use a rather than the only because some may interpret the as being strictly related to the Mafia.

I've only heard it used neutrally or negatively.

Haha! You're probably right! We probably wouldn't like it either.

some people would love a mafia prompt! And for those of us who wouldn't.... we can read about other families

NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 3791 comments Oh no.i forgot to vote. I’m a little out of it this week, since my dog flew me like a kite on our walk the other day. She saw a dog she didn’t know in her neighborhood and raced across the street to investigate. My face looks really bad, but it’s not as painful as other parts. My son brought me some gummies as a substitute for pain medication tonight. I don’t know why he thinks candy might help. 😉

Tracy | 3280 comments Oh no! Hope you are ok NancyJ! If you are still up you might still make it in because Emily just said she basically doesn’t cut off voting until right before she gathers the results (If I’m remembering correctly).

I hope you heal quickly. I would give voting a shot in case they haven't close it yet.

NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 3791 comments Yes I voted right after I posted above. I can only remember one time when she counted the votes the night before, so it looks like I’m safe.

Oh, we count throughout! And honestly, the votes this round were pretty decided early on. You all knew your minds and mostly agreed.

I hope you're healing soon.

(And I'm curious about whether your son is bringing you CBD-gummies or sweets.) Lol!

It’s a combination of CBD, CBN and THC. It didn’t make me feel high, just sleepy. I sliced it in tiny pieces to be safe. It might be different if I ate a whole one.

I haven't tried those yet, I have tried CBD-oil and it was so difficult knowing how much to use - one had to try it out for oneself, 2 - 7 drops, 2 - 5 times a day, between 1 and 4 weeks. Hopeless. I guess it's easier with those gummi bears. Maybe I should try them. I've got chronic pain and I really want to find something that helps at least a bit.

Oh no! I'm sorry. That sucks. Darn pets. I was walking my daughter's massive Husky last January and took a sprawling tumble. I didn't break my ribs but might as well have as they still took nearly 8 weeks to heal. I am a conductor, so the "arm waving" was very subtle for a while! I hope you heal up quickly!
