i mean, im not from alabama, but i am from massachusetts where everyone is seen as massholes ( assholes ) which isnt remotely the same as incest jokes, but when its a steryotype like that, i find it funny honestly so dont take it too seriously :)

I don't know about the other things they said to you that you didn't mention but alone on this I would really not get hurt or offended, it's meant to be a joke and I don't see how it would be directed to you. What someone thinks is a funny joke is an insult to someone else, and because of that it's important to communicate; you could just tell them that you're not comfortable with that kind of jokes and if they're good friends they'll stop joking about that.

I feel like that joke lowkey died down, and i dont think its really a stereotype but a joke. And yknow, ita been a joke for years and i dont think its that deep. If i met a person from alabama my first thought wouldnt be "oh they like there family" but maybe thats just me bc i enjoy offensive jokes sometimes.
