Hi!
My favorite modern danmei are:
Sa Ye
Guomen
Po Yun and Tun Hai
And most recently The Approach and Tailhook
I love these also but they have sci-fi, world-hopping/QT, paranormal, and/or fantasy elements as well:
The Defectives/Can Ci Pin
Don’t Pick Up Boyfriends From the Trash Bin
Guardian
Post Training Notice: National First-Class Registered Exorcist.

Don't You Like Me - school life
Kaleidoscope of Death - horror unlimited flow
Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire - modern fantasy
Mist - sci fi unlimited flow

The other 3 I've recommended I finished, however, so I can vouch for there being no dubcon nor noncon!

Wait For Me After School comes to my mind. Guide On How to Fail At Online Dating too. Jiang Zi Bei might be a good author for Green Flag Stories and her protagonists in the books I’ve read by her were of similar age.

I had actually read I Can Do It by her before your recommendation and because of it I actually started GOHFAOD and I absolutely love it uptill now! I'll deffo check out her other books! ♡

Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire by Priest sounds like it then. Amazing slowburn enemies to lovers, no noncon, no minor-adult, etc. It's mostly modern with some ancient flashbacks. You can read the goodreads reviews for it to get an idea if you'd like it, it's been getting very good reviews. Here are mine for volumes 1 and 2 so far:

UGH! I want to read it so bad!! Same with the rest of Coins of Destiny! 😭 I love Priest so much!
But yes... I heard Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire is a more sad one. 🥺 But I know it has a happy ending.

It's angsty but it has a lot of humor in it too, it's balanced really well in my opinion, not many novels are so well balanced. I noticed there is usually either too much comedy or to much pain in some novels, so they feel too silly or too depressing for me, but it's not the case with this one. The ending is happy even for the side couple. Even the pacing is good.
