Hi!
My favorite modern danmei are:
Sa Ye
Guomen
Po Yun and Tun Hai
And most recently The Approach and Tailhook

I love these also but they have sci-fi, world-hopping/QT, paranormal, and/or fantasy elements as well:
The Defectives/Can Ci Pin
Don’t Pick Up Boyfriends From the Trash Bin
Guardian
Post Training Notice: National First-Class Registered Exorcist.

... | 280 comments Some of the recommendations above I also recommend, so I'll add ones not mentioned yet:
Don't You Like Me - school life
Kaleidoscope of Death - horror unlimited flow
Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire - modern fantasy
Mist - sci fi unlimited flow

Cee (simplystrange) | 70 comments I liked Don't You Like Me! I will add though that the relationship isn't totally a green flag as there is misunderstanding that lead to dub-con, but eventually they are super adorable.

... | 280 comments I feel most couples in the novels recommended in this thread have some sort of misunderstaning at some point but overall they're what I consider green flag relationships without noncons and such.

message 8: by Cee (new)

Cee (simplystrange) | 70 comments True! I like mentioning when something has dubious consent though just in case it is something people aren't interested in reading.

... | 280 comments Good, yes, no worries! I havent' finished DYLM so I wasn't aware, my apologies. Up to where I've read, it was all greenflag with some minor misunderstandings, and I also don't recall anyone telling me it has any dubcon, hence my lack of mention for it.
The other 3 I've recommended I finished, however, so I can vouch for there being no dubcon nor noncon!

Wait For Me After School comes to my mind. Guide On How to Fail At Online Dating too. Jiang Zi Bei might be a good author for Green Flag Stories and her protagonists in the books I’ve read by her were of similar age.

Lily . W | 23 comments Hii, just to add on to what type of dammeis I asked for first, is there any with an amazing slow burn enemy's to lovers? and talking abt greenflag it's just the relationship shouldn't include like grape, a minor-adult relationship, no mental or physical abuse and the miscommunication shouldn't be to the point of leaving actual scars. sorry for bothering yall with my detailed requests 😶😔

Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire by Priest sounds like it then. Amazing slowburn enemies to lovers, no noncon, no minor-adult, etc. It's mostly modern with some ancient flashbacks. You can read the goodreads reviews for it to get an idea if you'd like it, it's been getting very good reviews. Here are mine for volumes 1 and 2 so far:

Lily . W | 23 comments Ooh I've seen such good things about that book!

message 19: by ... (new)

... | 280 comments It's one of my top favorites from this author, and I've read a lot of her books already. Probably the only thing stopping it from being more popular at the moment is that everyone's waiting for a complete translation before they dive in. Hopefully not long from now, as volume 3 preorders are opening in October, and it will be 5 volumes in total.

message 20: by V~ (new)

V~ | 38 comments Omg you got volume 2 already!?!?!?! 😭 I need mine so bad!! But I have to wait for my GO to get their batch and then my order to me. 🥲

UGH! I want to read it so bad!! Same with the rest of Coins of Destiny! 😭 I love Priest so much!

But yes... I heard Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire is a more sad one. 🥺 But I know it has a happy ending.

... | 280 comments I'm in one of the regions that got them sooner, I'm very lucky. I started reading the day I got it. Group orders are slower 😭 so I get mine from a store.

It's angsty but it has a lot of humor in it too, it's balanced really well in my opinion, not many novels are so well balanced. I noticed there is usually either too much comedy or to much pain in some novels, so they feel too silly or too depressing for me, but it's not the case with this one. The ending is happy even for the side couple. Even the pacing is good.
