Born into this Tun (very old English word for a feudal community of sorts) with very stagnant social classes (I have a whole journal full of the lore of this place and the social classes so hit me up). He's born into the lowest social class, to a woman seen as "unholy"... but he was born with wings. Why? No one knows, but the leaders (the Hierax, trio of religious leaders that run the whole place) FREAK out, keep him in the cathedral, and he's basically trapped there like a sideshow. Over time, he grows pinfeathers (its a bird thing, Google it), and anytime someone tries to preen them, the casing melts into was, the feather falls out, and a new pinfeather takes its place. He's incapacitated, trapped, and alone.
