RomCom Author looking for Beta Reader

HI All,

I’m looking for 2 or 3 Beta readers who are into contemporary Romantic comedy! My book, A Very Improper Affair is approx 100k. I’m willing to swap reading as well, you read mine, I’’ll read yours either Beta or Arc! I am a gentle and kind critiquer!
Here is the story line….
Quincy Kirk crossed the Atlantic for her PhD, not a boyfriend.
During a break from her studies, she’s sent to catalogue the private library at a crumbling English estate. She expected dust, deadlines, and maybe the occasional ghost—certainly not Edward Harrington: infuriatingly arrogant, frustratingly handsome, and inconveniently in the way. One heated moment in the library later, and things are far more complicated than they should be.
Edward is the reluctant heir to Harrington Hall, torn between a future in London’s high-powered financial world and the ancestral home calling him back. Quincy’s already played the decorative girlfriend to one ambition-obsessed man, and she has no intention of doing it again, no matter how good this one looks in a tux.
But with sparks flying, a meddling little sister bent on engineering a happily-ever-after, and a chorus of posh London acquaintances who wield snobbery like a social weapon, Quincy and Edward find themselves tangled in something dangerously close to love.
Now they must decide whether to rewrite their futures or return to the lives they once thought they wanted.

On a spice level this is about 3 out of 5, i”m guessing.
I”m looking for readers to give me general feedback, what you liked what you didn’t! How you felt the over all flow went, if you got stuck in any places, or where the story slowed down too much! If my characters worked!

I really value thoughtful feedback, so I’m looking for committed beta readers. If you are interested please let me know the following only so we can be on the same page.

Hi Mari,

I’d love to beta read for you! I read pretty much anything fiction. Romance is definitely my favorite - but I bounce between dark, contemporary and fantasy. I love any book, regardless of genre, that can make me chuckle!

I’ve never beta read before, but love the idea! I’m an avid reader and only just discovered the need for alpha and beta readers. I’m made for this job! I’m the honest friend who will tell you what you need to know, but also deliver it gently with respect and care.

I’m a speed reader so I expect I’d finish the book in a few days, but we can say a week to be safe!
