Katy Lovejoy | 3 comments When it comes to your TBR how do y’all decide what to read next?? I’ll finish a book a read one of the newer ones on my TBR but that’s only getting longer 😩😂

Heather 🖤 | 20 comments This is stupid but I’ve got mine on a list on my phone and then use a random number generator to pick one 😂

Lauren | 28 comments I use wheel of names. I have 1 for kindle, audio, physical. if I don't mind either I'll go by genre. I'll have a flick through or if I can't decide then WoN will choose a book. if I'm down to like 2 or 3 then I get my partner to pick a number 😂 I will re-spin genre if I don't fancy it at the time.

Destiny | 2 comments I tell my husband to pick a number between however many books I have in my physical TBR and then I just grab whatever book the number lands on lol

Katy Lovejoy | 3 comments Between TikTok Facebook and my friends it’s getting hard to decide what to read next I’ll try picking a number to decide what’s next!

This is not stupid! I'm going try it because I have the same problem of not knowing what to pick next. Also, the TBR will always get longer, forever and ever. It cannot be stopped 😭

SnarkyMoggie | 1 comments I hadn't even thought any of these! I've been going by mood and then just trawling through my TBR until something of that genre catches my eye, but it hasn't always been working. As my behind the year reading goal keeps glaring at me. Thanks for these suggestions and for creating the thread.

Filigree Heart | 70 comments I tend to switch up genres. If I finish a dark romance then I may turn to a rom com or thriller. I like to mix it up!

Enva | 6 comments A spin the wheel 😭 I’ll put my top 5 on there and whichever i spin first I read last and so on. It’s so irritating but it’s the only way I’ve gotten through my tbr so far

Chasie 🦋 | 10 comments i’ve recently gotten to where i keep a little basket/bin on my desk with 3-4 of the high priority books on my tbr so that my brain is constantly reminded of which books i want to read next, and it has helped! i’m just generally in a slump and not reading as much this year tho 💔

Whispers & Pages | 23 comments I think almost everyone on here can relate to that problem.
I've been trying to be very good about which books I actually add to my TBR since last year got totally out of control. I also decided to use: https://wheelofnames.com/ to make myself a "Spinderella" after seeing someone on Bookstagram do it. Best idea EVER!
Once the wheel has chosen the next title I check out the audio version to see if it's any good. If it's not I'll stick to the book.

Mood is indeed a big factor. That's why I always do two books at a time. If one doesn't fit my current mood I change to the other one. That's been working well for me.

Karen Denise Foster | 145 comments Yeah, I usually have 3 to 5 books started at any given time. I will make it throught the first chapter or two and if it's not hitting the right buttons at that moment I start another one. Eventually I will go back and finish the book or I will put it back on my TBR if I think I will want to read it latter. And sometimes it only takes a chapter or two for me to know that it's going to be a dnf for me. That is more rare though.

Jacki | 39 comments Most of the books I read are series, because if and when I fall in love with a book and its characters, I never want it to end.. so with series, I got to stick with them longer throughout many books before I have to let them go and find something else to get into. So once I choose a series it’s a while before I have to figure out what I’m gonna read next cause I’ll just read it in order obviously till they’re over. And then how I figure out which series I wanna try next..is just by reading the endless reviews on here until I find a few that really excite me by people that seem to read books very similar to my taste, and yeah.. thats my process. Just go by reviews and my mood/feelings at the time.
