Hum, perhaps I should repost after finals are done for people in December.
I'm doing a challenge that involves some Shakespeare, so I'd definitely be interested.
I'm interested. I want to read Shakespeare's cannon by the time I graduate, so this may help :)
Gah, 9 days behind schedule! Oh, well. I've been out of town and now trying to move, so I haven't started the read but if anyone would like to share anything, please feel free.Anything at all...

Did we make a plan? Or are we just going to read them?
I was thinking about this thread recently...and I'm with Tahleen. I didn't know if we made a plan or what. I think making a plan, even if it's read them at your leisure, sounds good.
I've just seen this thread, and I'm all for it! I have a book with Shakespeare's Complete Works, even though it's the Italian translation. Should we discuss what we read the following month?
I had no real plan other than what is listed above and maybe look into papers/websites that discussed the various works. I am definently open to suggestion.It was certainly meant to be one of those noncommital challenges where you take your time. My only worry is that my work will have me out of town (with no internet) for week stretches, so I may not be able to really monitor things.
I think first we need to decide how often we want to read them. His plays aren't horrifically long, so I think we could read a play a week or every two weeks. Or we could keep it at a play a month, if people don't think they can read that quickly.
Maybe we could read a play every two weeks and we could discuss it the other two then proceed to the next play. What do you think?Oh my, I just found this

sorry for my english :P what I was trying to say is: read the book on the first 2 weeks of each month and start discussing it the other 2 weeks, so that everyone has plenty of time to read each play, even if he/she has to work/study. Hope I've been clearer this time...
No worries; I may be a native speaker but sometimes I still feel like I am learning it. Sounds like a good plan to me.
Here's the idea: read one play per month (since some of us want to have something resembling a life), reading the histories in order but spacing them out with a comedy & tragedy. It will start in December because that's when the original CS school year challenge ends.
There would be no obligation to stick with them all nor read any particular edition, other than unabrigded. The other Shakespeare groups don't seem to be very active, so I figured I would see if people here are interested.
(Plays not included: Comedy of Errors, Taming of the Shrew, Midsummer's Night Dream, Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth)
