can i request a book that doesn't have an isbn/asin?

i own a book edition that was published in 1940, so there isn't an isbn and i can't find it on any official publisher websites either. there are newer editions of this book on the goodreads database, but i would prefer to log the edition that i own.

the only information on the front/back/publication info page of the book is the author name, publisher, series and year. is it possible to request for this book edition to be added with just scans of this information?
