So I have an obsession with music and I tend to find a song then have that on repeat for a few weeks and then I start associating books with the music I was listening to for example when I was reading the book that started me on reading I was obsessed with Everything I Wanted by Billie Eillish so now whenever I hear that song my mind snaps to memories of that book, I'm really interesting as to if anyone else does this or just me cause I love when it happens but I also hate it.

Yesss. I thought i was a weirdo when i did it. but at least now i know that its definitely not weird. Like, frrr. Whenever i hear this certain song, i just remember a book that i connected it with, and then i feel like i need to read that book again. But then, i DON'T want to read that book again, because it probably wasn't good enough for me to want to read it twice. Okay, you are probably thinking i am SUPER weird rn, so how abt i just stop.
But here are some of my top 5 pairings:
1. Memories (Dean Lewis) - A Thousand Boy Kisses
2. Lost Boy (Ruth B.) - Peter Pan
3. Moral of the Story (Ashe) - Unperfect by Susie Tate
4. Hold On ( Chord Overstreet) - Mr. Charming by Piper Rayne
5. Brown eyes Brown Hair (Caleb Hearn) - The Year I Stopped Trying
the funny thing is I don't even realize it until the song comes on and I'm like "omg I love that book so much" and then I remember that I am listening to a song not reading a book 😂 and then I forgot two seconds later and the process continues
oh and then a few months ago I found out a creator I love wrote her own book and songs that go with it!!! the only problem is she hasn't come out with the book as a physical book and I only read physical books 😭 but the music is amazing!!!

YES ohmysosh all the time. I used to read this huge manga series when I was younger called "Anonomyous Noise" I would listen to "Bones" by Imagine Dragons on loop evrey single time I would read it and now I can not hear that song without getting intense flashbacks from that series lol > <

When I read I put my favorite music on shuffle then create playlists to go with the books so whenever I reread the book I put on that playlist!!
I just listen sometimes while reading whatever vibes the book gives off 😭 like this one time this book cover gave major Tangled vibes sooo I listened to Tangled ambience music while reading ✨

Sometimes I do, I really enjoy listening to music while reading in general; I know a lot of people don’t but it helps me visualize better haha.
Absolutely especially certain songs that have the exact vibe of the book! I’ll hear it and immediately go back to that world!

I associate “the night we met” by Lord Huron with Tamlin and Feyre from ACOTARSpecifically from Tamlin’s pov cuz it’s talking about having all of someone and then slowly losing that person. And wishing they could go back to the beginning.
And I associate “The Greatest” by Cat Power with “The Vampire Academy” bc i was listening to it on repeat when I read the series.
yeah pretty much tho I never had to associate one for better than the movies 😏😆😛

I haven't read the book cause Janani hasn't released it with a physical book and I can't focus unless the book is on paper but the songs are really, really good!!!

I sometimes do! The other day, I was thinking that Summer Girls by Jennifer Dugan (a book about two bi girls owning their LGBTQ aspect of themselves and falling in love, super cute, super happy) with a song called Hell Together by David Archuletta mixed with Timless by Taylor Swift!
sometimes while reading i envision songs, for example Riptide by Vance Joy for PJO The Lightning Thief, Afraid by The Neighbourhood for the siren scene in Sea of Monsters.
