Im a mood reader and i dont know what im in the mood for

Im a moodreader but i dont know what im in the mood for!! And the thing is, i REALLY want to read!!! And I just finished a book today that i liked but didnt love. I dont know what to read i dont even know what genre😭 i feel like I shouldnt read anything with to much world building since these days a book has to impress me within the first 10 pages. But i still want to be able to escape reality. (As a YA only reader) so i dont need bookrecs id rather have some tips to overcome this and if anyone can reloate to this.

Uhh, I say just wing it😃 pick up the first pretty cover and go with it😂 idk. I only read YA fantasy so... this is just me trying to give unsolicited advice🤷‍♀️

If you don’t know what mood you’re in it’s usually best to just switch mediums for a while. I like to watch a TV show or play a game to cleanse my palate so to speak. If I still don’t know what I feel like reading sometimes it’s nice to go back to an old favourite and see what the vibe is after I’m done. Nothing wrong with picking up books one by one and only reading first 10 pages to see if it catches your interest

Usually I try to pick up a book on my shelf that I've been scared to read (usually due to it being a different genre than usual, not the ones I'm scared to read because they're long or complex)

thank you all for the advice!!! its currently 00:23 am for me lol and im rereading, this YA romantasy/fantasy series called Twin crowns!! if forgot that this book as so many chapters so im flying through it. although im already worrying about what to read after i finish this series again lol and its so hard to find real YA books since these days even acotar is called YA in my Bookstore 💀 so yeah... but i really appreciate all of the advice and if anyone has more then DROP THEM :)
