OK! Hi! We've never read a Danielle Steele book before in the club, so I am not sure what we are getting into. On the back of her books, it used to say "Everyone loves Danielle Steel." WE SHALL SEE.

You definitely have to be in the right mood to read it. Pretend you grab the book and head for the beach, leaving your brain behind. Picturing that you're 14 or 15 while reading it might also help. I am so in the mood for some trash, though, so your opinion might vary from mine. I am having fun!

I wonder why Danielle Steel used this source material to write her book? Maybe the screenwriter had been her friend and couldn't get the screenplay sold/made into a movie and her book made things happen for him?

This was Danielle Steel's third or fourth novel, so maybe things were the other way around and Gary Michael White was helping Steel get her writing career established?

I actually remebered this song! I don't remember seeing the movie, but I might have seen it if it was shown on tv.

Yeah, I didn't realize there was something weird going on with this being based on a movie until after the month had started and I checked out a copy. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned on Goodreads.
