Just a few things I've learnt, among others:
The real reason for the main door into most Catholic churches facing west. Before I had read a different theory related to Alchemy.
Why some churches have a crucifix in the middle of the altar. I wish more of them would have it.

I liked very much the chapter on Vestments, their relation with St. Paul when telling us to "put on Christ", and to Adam and baptism.
I never heard anyone talk about Sabbath as a "rest" from relationships involving subordination/inequality.I haven't noticed baptistries being eight-sided or known the reference to the "eighth day".
The most famous octagonal baptistery is in Florence,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florenc...
Not all baptisteries are octagonal, but they are more common in European churches than in US.
